Marine Guilty of Conspiracy

A military jury on Wednesday found a Marine Corporal Marshall Magincaldaguilty of conspiracy to murder an Iraqi man last year.  He was acquitted of premeditated murder and kidnapping charges.  Cpl. Magincalda was also found guilty of larceny and housebreaking, and he was cleared of making a false official statement.

The fact that the United States government would ask a Marine to go to Iraq and fight.  Then turn around and charge him with MURDER is a said day in the history of our countries.  Marines are killers, that is what they train those guys to do at Parris Island.  Marines had to kill people in Tripoli, Belleau Wood, Iwo Jima, the Frozen Chosin, Inchon, and guess what....Marines had to kill people in Iraq.  That's what they do! 

So when someone makes a mistake, we charge them with murder?  What ever happen to casualties of war?  Acceptable loses?

And the larceny and housebreaking?  I guess the next time a Marine conducts a raid, he should get a lawyer to make sure that he isn't gonna be charged with a crime.

President Bush should pardon all of our troops that are charged with this kind of stupid stuff.

Army Offering $20,000 Bonus

The Army is now offering a $20,000 "QS" – or “Quick Shipper” -- bonus to new and prior service recruits joining, selecting any job and shipping out for training within 30 days.

"The Q.S. letters means "quick shipper," said Columbus Recruiting Battalion spokesperson Tom Foley in a news release. "And $20,000 means, well, it means a lot of seed money for new soldiers answering the Army's call to duty. The Army is growing in size

IRAQI PARLIAMENT GOES ON SUMMER BREAK

Iraq's Parliament has adjourned for its summer recess today.  The Parliamentary speaker Mahmoud Mashhadani said in a statement that he had dismissed lawmakers until September 4, 2007.  Mahmoud stated, "It is our constitutional right to take it (a break)."

A preliminary White House assessment earlier this month faulted Iraqi leaders for failing to enact laws aimed at curbing violence, including measures to distribute oil revenue, hold provincial elections and loosen restrictions on members of Saddam Hussein's Baath party returning to public life.

The recess means parliament will resume just before U.S. military commander General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker are due to report back to Congress on the success of this year's "surge" in U.S. troops to Iraq.

Maybe the U.S. troops in Iraq should go on summer recess.

1,776 EARMARK REQUESTS FOR DEFENSE APPROPRIATIONS

The Democrats don't want to miss a chance to spend taxpayers money. The Defense Appropriations Bill contains 1,776 Earmark requests.


Earmarks is another word for Pork. Typically, Pork or Earmarks are a way for legislators to pay off their campaign debts by funding a specific project that a campaign contributor wants. The Contributor usually donates money to their Congressman's campaign, after the Congressman is elected, he or she uses a earmarks, which direct a specified amount of money to a particular organization or project owned by the Contributor.


This differs from the appropriation of money to a particular government agency, for in these cases the appropriate executive department can exercise discretion as to where and how the funds are spent.

General Patton: Iraq Speech

 A General George Patton video has made it's way to the internet.  The video shows the beginning scene of the movie Patton.  However, this time he is talking about the war in Iraq and the War on Terrorism.

HOW TO GET MICHAEL MOORE TO DO YOUR LAUNDRY?

 Ever think that Michael Moore would come to a Republican's home and personally wash that Republican's laundry.  Well, Michael Moore is holding a contest where he will wash a randomly chosen Republican's laundry if they go out and watch his new movie SICKO this weekend.
Part of me thinks that this is some cheap marketing trick.  However, the thought of talking crap to Michael Moore as he is washing my dirty smelly socks is very tempting.

U.S. Seen in Iraq Until at Least ’09

The New York Times has posted an article saying that the US will be seen in Iraq until at least 2009.  Click here to read the article.  I think that 2009 is a reasonable timeline.  The one thing we have to consider is that we have a lot of gear in Iraq, i.e. tanks, planes, support equipment.  We can't just leave that stuff behind.  I guess if Democrats believe that we should be out of Iraq in 2007, than we will have to leave all that equipment.

Does One Million Dollars Matter to Congress?

 It would take me roughly twenty eight years to earn a million dollars, however, it only takes Congress a few minutes to give it away.  But does Congress really know who is getting the money that they are so freely giving away?  Apparently not, Republican Rep. Jeff Flake of Arizona questioned Rep. Peter Visclosky (D-Indiana) on the House floor July 17,2007 about whether the Center for Instrumented Critical Infrastructure actually exists since it is receiving over a Million Dollars.  Rep. Flake's staff could find no information on the Center, not even a website.  Rep. Peter Visclosky (D-Indiana), whether the Center actually existed, Visclosky said he did not know. Despite Flake's objection, the bill -- earmark included -- passed overwhelmingly.

A HEARTBEAT AWAY

News of Democratic Senator Tim Johnson's possible stroke quickly sent political pundits into playing what if.  What if the Senator died? What if the Senator had to resign?  What if?

If the Democratic Senator from South Dakota died than Suth Dakota's Republican governor, Mike Rounds, would appoint a replacement to serve until the 2008 election. Governor Rounds would likely appoint a Republican. The Democrats won a 51-49 majority in the November election. If the Senate is split 50-50, the vice president breaks ties. That is Republican Dick Cheney at present.

If Senator Tim Johnson passed away from this possible stroke or any other problem. Than Republicans and America would be a heartbeat away from a better Senate and a better Nation.

ISRAEL HAS A NUKE? SO WHAT?

A few days ago incoming Defense Secretary Robert Gates identified Israel as a nuclear power in his testimony to a Senate committee. 

Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Olmert stated:

"Iran openly, explicitly and publicly threatens to wipe Israel off the map," Olmert said. "Can you say that this is the same level, when you are aspiring to have nuclear weapons, as America, France, Israel, Russia?"

Many think that Israel has the sixth-largest nuclear arsenal in the world.  But their policy is not to talk about the subject. Don't confirm or deny. Now people are calling for Prime Minister Olmert to resign because of this interview.  I say, Israel has a nuclear weapon,  So What?
I hope they use them on Iran, Syria, and Iraq (after we pull our troops out.)

DID CLINTON SPY ON DIANA?

 The press is buzzing and in two days we will all know what the Lord Stevens report regarding the death of Princess Diana says. Recent leaks of the Stevens inquiry has sparked some questions into whether or not US Intelligence Agencies spied on Diana? When the first reports hit the British and American press, the CIA and Secret Service denied spying on the Princess.

Theories are flying around like hotcakes. Did we? Why did we? Was it the NSA, the great vacuum cleaner in the sky? How did they do it?

But one of the interesting points is that if we did spy on Diana, it would fall on the Clinton Administration. So did Clinton spy on Diana? If he did, why?  I guess the world will have to wait until Thursday to find out.

WHERE'S THE OUTRAGE?

 I posted this story a couple of weeks ago about a young teenage girl assualted and stripped at McDonald's but where is the public outrage?

MCDONALD'S STRIP SEARCH
An eighteen year old employee at a McDonald in Kentucky was called into the office by the manager. This was the beginning of a horrible ordeal for the young employee.  The manager was on the phone with someone claiming to be a police officer who had just accused the young employee of stealing a purse.

The manager was instructed by the voice on the phone to take the girl's cell phone, car keys, and clothes. And yes, the girl followed orders. For three hours she sit naked in the small office with only a dirty apron. She was humiliated, forced to strip, spanked, and then to perform a sexual act in the back office, during her work day. All because a voice on the phone claiming to be a police officer gave these bizarre instructions.

Sounds like a hoax. Yes, it is but it all happened and was captured on video tape. The young employee is suing McDonald's for $200 million dollars which they should at least pay her $100 million of it. But the man arrested for making the phone call was sit free.

It's a crazy story, but it leads me to a serious question. How safe are our teenagers in the workplace?  About 80 or more of these hoax calls has taken place and many of the calls has resulted in a strip search. One customer was actually asked to strip search an employee. Considering the fact that many teenagers work part-time jobs, what are employers doing to ensure the safety of their teenage employees? As silly as it sounds, I think that parents need to know educate their teenagers on their rights. Their right not to be strip searched and what to do if anyone asks them to take off their clothes. It's a crazy world but because of this story I'm just gonna say no to McDonalds. You ask why?
1) If there store managers are stupid enough to conduct a strip search and not hang up the phone and call police. Than they are not smart enough to cook my burgers.
2) The fact that McDonalds is on the defense and not wanting to pay this young girl who clearly did nothing wrong. That is a company that I don't want to support.

I guess my last question is where are all the tree hugging, peace loving bleeding heart liberals whom believe in a persons right not to be sexually assaulted? Where is Michael Moore? Where is her Senator? Where is Jeese Jackson and Al Sharpton? Where is the outrage at McDonalds from the public? Where are all the Christians who boycotted Target because of they wouldn't allow those annoying bell ringers last year? Where is the concern? Because if this isn't a civil liberties and civil rights case, I don't know what is?

I guess everyone is praying with the terrorist imams at the airport.

RUMSFELD IN IRAQ

 Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld paid a surprise visit to Iraq on Sunday and said "U.S. forces should not quit the war until the enemy is defeated." This is Rumsfeld's 15th visit to Iraq, he was last there in July.

Rumsfeld was quoted as saying: "For the past six years, I have had the opportunity and, I would say, the privilege, to serve with the greatest military on the face of the Earth. We feel great urgency to protect the American people from another 9/11 or a 9/11 times two or three. At the same time, we need to have the patience to see this task through to success. The consequences of failure are unacceptable." 


Rumsfeld spoke to more than 1,200 soldiers and Marines at Al-Asad, a sprawling air base in Anbar province, the large area of western Iraq that is an insurgent stronghold.

I know from personal experience that Secretary Rumsfeld deeply cared about the men and women of the Armed Forces. Unlike Clinton's Defense Secretary, Rumsfeld would stop in the halls of the Pentagon and talk to enlisted men. I believe history will show Donald Rumsfeld as a great leader, a man of courage, and a inspiration to our men and women in uniform. Thanks for your service Secretary Rumsfeld. You will be missed.

SPYING ON DIANA

 Set to cause a media frenzy on Thursday the British government is releasing a detailed report on Princess Diana's death known as the Steven's report. Several news outlets have already obtained portions of the report. Those portions reveal several things:

1) Steven's report will show that the United States Secret Service wasbugging Diana's telephone conversation. (Why President Clinton? Why were you bugging Diana?)

2) New DNA evidence proves the driver, Paul, of Princess Diana's car was drunk that night.

3) The Steven's report also will confirm claims that Paul, the driver, was in the pay of the French intelligence services.  Why?

This report is sure to fuel the flames of the different Conspiracy theories.

Shopping Mall Terror Plot Foiled

 Derrick Shareef was arrested by the FBI today for plotting to set off hand grenades at CherryVale Shopping Mall, a Chicago-area shopping mall in a holiday season terror campaign that was thwarted by federal investigators.

According to an FBI affidavit, Derrick Shareef, 22, told a confidential source that he wanted to "commit violent acts of jihad," and spoke of killing judges and blowing up public buildings. Shareef said that he sought "to disrupt Christmas."  

Shareef was apprehended after meeting with an undercover agent in a Rockford store parking lot to trade a set of stereo speaksers for four hand grenades and a handgun. Shareef was charged with one count of count of attempting to damage or destroy a building by fire or explosion and one count of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction.

We are still at war with Islamic Terrorists. Thank you FBI and Merry Christmas Derrick Shareef may you eat pig in jail.
